SUBJECT: Eye Opener Newsletter (10/31/2022)

Reed Owls will be showing gratitude and appreciation to our Veterans on Friday, November 11th. If your student would like to bring a Veteran to honor, please register them at the link below. Veterans will be recognized in front of the student body, and then your student and their Veteran are invited to a special reception immediately after.

Veterans Day Reception

1. Thursday 11/10 afternoon (3:30-5:30pm). Help needed to set up/decorate. Sign up here.

2. Friday 11/11 morning (7:30-10:00am). Help needed to set out food and serve Veterans at the reception. Sign up here.


Staff Appreciation Event (Caramel Apple & Popcorn Bar)

1. Wednesday 11/15 afternoon (12-3pm). Help decorate the Teachers' Lounge. Sign up here.

Join us in the Reed library for the next PTA Membership Meeting. All are welcome, but only PTA members can vote. Click here to join.

At this meeting we will be voting to approve the revised Bylaws and Standing Rules. Members can review the proposed documents on the PTA website under "Our PTA" and do need to be signed into Membership Toolkit to access the files.

Allen ISD is excited to announce its first ever Eagle Engagement Night, which is an opportunity to hear from district leaders on several important topics. All community members are invited to this conference-style event with sessions on budgets and taxes, special education, safety and security, the 1:1 technology program, and more. A total of 8 sessions will be available during the event, and attendees will have the opportunity to visit a total of 3 sessions during the evening.
